All of you know I'm a makeup junkie.. and for those who don't, now you do. ;)
I absolutely love eyeshadow. You have the ability to really play with the look you want and give an either causal, done up, or smoky eye/black tie event look. Eyes may be the most fun when it comes to makeup. That being said, I cant stress enough how much primer makes a difference. Everyone always wonders if your $12-$25 primer is actually doing something when it comes to eye shadow. I'm here to tell you it most definitely does.
I have a series of pictures with the difference between no primer and primer. The particular primer I use is
Urban Decay Original but once this is out, my next purchase will be
Mac's Paint Pot Painterly.

The no primer side is on the left and the shadow with primer underneath is on the right. The difference is immaculate. |

This particular palette was the one I used just to prove that even with nice shadows primer is more than necessary for a full look that is crisp. This is the Naked3 palette by Urban Decay. |

Another glance at the difference. |
