How to: TJmaxx, Ross, and Marshalls

TJmaxx can be a very daunting store, Marshalls and Ross for that matter! I would consider myself a professional shopper in this line of stores (thanks to my mom and her RAD skills). I can find steals like no one's business and 8 times out of 10 I walk out with so many goodies for so little!
Today I'm giving you the tips for how to best shop these stores and make the most with your time.

The first place I look is always the bags.. I head over there and just scan for any cute things. You can find lots of brand name bags for a really great price! My recommendation is don't pay more than $50 for a non brand bag.. it's probably not worth it.

This is where I found my adorable wrap bracelet, that I talked about on Instagram. I got it for only $30 and from what I've heard, people are paying over a couple hundred dollars for some! #crazy

Next place to definitely check is cosmetics, perfumes, and beauty! They have TONS of name brand items for like a 1/3 of the price. Prime example-- this item below, and the other day I got an OPI light pink nail color, Mod About You for $3.99!

Most DEFINITELY go peak at the shoes. You can find good good stuff! Just be in the digging mood. :)

Another thing I love about TJmaxx, Ross and Marshalls are the amazing journals. This is where I get all my journals and you usually never pay more than $7 or $8. Again, be willing to look a little but usually you can spot one you like right away!

I don't know about you but I LOVE wall art and little office supplies and I always dig through these aisles. If you don't have a place to use it now and it's pretty cheap, my advice is buy it, stick it in that Hope Chest of yours and save it for the perfect time. Odds are you wont find it again for such a great price!

Then of course go dig through the clothes. Yes, it's daunting... but so worth it! Start at your size and look for colors and styles that stick out to you. If you find a shirt that's not your size in the wrong section, now you know what it looks like and can browse for it easily in the other rows of clothes.

TJmaxx, Ross and Marshalls are such fun stores. Just give yourself time to look and be willing to dig a little. I promise you wont regret it. Sometimes the selection is poor but go back! From what I hear, shipment comes Tuesday or Wednesday so those are the best days to go, plus it will be less crowded. :)

Happy Shopping!

  2. I love Winner's (the Canadian equivalent of these stores). A few weeks ago I scored a pair of Hunter boots at less than half price! And I love finding awesome home decor and unique journals, it's always worth taking a few minutes to look!

  5. I am so glad to see that someone else has a routine for shopping TJ Maxx! It is overwhelming! When I was in undergrad, I had one about 5 minutes from my apartment. I got to the point where I knew when shipments were coming in. Thanks for sharing your tips!
