Drum Roll Please...

Well I can't believe I'm saying this, but... I'm pursuing my entrepreneurial efforts and starting a small business. You must think I'm crazy. Student, blogger, aspiring event planner, and now attempting to be a small business owner. I'm thinking the same thing honestly, I'm crazy! But the reality is, life is not worth it unless risks are taken. I only get one life to live so why not give it one heck of a shot?!
This idea has been floating around for about a month and slowly but surely coming to what it is now.

I have this love for druzy stones, always have, (and I have a feeling) I always will. I've seen women starting to create pieces that were just outstanding and I've always wanted to own some type of small business. As my brain started to think and consider, I realized I could open/start a small business of my own.

Yes, there are lots of us pursuing the jewelry small business BUT we all have something different to offer. My hope is that through my jewelry you'll be bold in all areas of your life, not just with the beautiful stone around your neck. With this vision came, Bold & Bejeweled. Everything is slowly developing. I'm playing around with ideas, finding things I like and more but the reality is, I've started a business and I'm so excited! I know it's no where close to perfect but with time I hope it will become something great. I don't want to talk too much about what I'm making because my shop explains that but I did want to share it with y'all because I knew you'd go check it out and encourage me on this crazy journey!

Here is a peek at what I want the main pieces of my shop to be! The leather and stones are customizable making it fit for any occasion or theme!!

Please go check out my shop and even if you don't see anything you like, do me a favor and still favorite my shop? The encouragement would mean the world! Also, I started a Facebook and Instagram so please go follow and like them!

Kind words and encouraging thoughts would be so appreciated! If you have any questions, email me or contact me on my Etsy shop! AND order away, I'm officially open for business now that it's official on the blog! I want to be a jewelry making fool!

Happy Thursday!

Vogue September Issue

This month for my Blushington box I was given a bunch of fun goodies but the main item was the Vogue edition for September. I have never paid $10 for the issue ever. I'm one of your "occasionally I'll pick it up in line at the store" and flip through it kinda girl. When I opened up the box all my roomies were so excited because they had seen on Snapchat how Kendall Jenner would be on the front and be the main hit of the issue. There is a poster included in this edition as well.

Am I terrible for saying I hardly keep up with any celebrity gossip/talk? Thank goodness for my roomies because they know everything and everyone and keep me up to date and informed. ;)

That being said, I knew it would be a fun and different post for me to go through and share some parts of the magazine with y'all and maybe convince you to give it a shot and read it.

First off, the magazine is around 800 pages so be ready to look at it in spurts or give yourself 30-45 minutes to go through it all. I wasn't able to go through it all today but I started sticky noting the articles that I really wanted to read. What I was noticing was that the articles highlight women and fashion icons and their history. The issue focuses a lot on empowering women, which I think is great! I'm very curious to read them! But before you get to the good stuff you have to go through about 100 pages of ads. Let me just comment on this one done by Prada... say what?! Am I supposed to be fashion inspired by this...? I sure hope not. lol

There were a lot of "oh my" ads that I was not impressed with, but I do have to say, this one was adorable and caught my eye!

I also loved Gianni Bini because it gave the price of the items and where to buy them! Talk about helpful. Both looks were really elegant!

This J-Crew ad is to die for! The prints, the wording, everything!! Seriously love.

Also, Vogue will be entering the Snapchat realm here pretty soon so be watching out for that!

Lastly, I had to take a picture of Kendall from her shoot. This was by far my favorite picture. It's carefree, fun and just adorable!

From the things I've read about her many say she is extremely authentic. I'm excited to read through this entire magazine and gleam some fashion knowledge and history! I think at least everyone should purchase one Vogue edition in their lifetime.

Weekend in Abilene!

I had a fabulous weekend with my love in Abilene! It was our first time spending the weekend together just the two of us where he is stationed. I am exhausted to say the least so my recap today will be mostly pictures and I'll be back to my normal posts on Tuesday!

The ball was so fun! I LOVE this picture of us.

P.S. The Iphone 7 takes fabulous selfies!

Breakfast at Cracker Barrel!

 Abilene Zoo!

I cannot recommend feeding giraffes enough! It's such a cool experience!!!

Zach is a huge giraffe fan, so although he may not look as excited as he actually was, inside he was giddy like a little girl!

Selfies with camels!

One last giraffe selfie!

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Back to reality. I hope your Monday is sweeter than caramel apples. ;)

P.S. If you need a travel guide for Abilene, Texas shoot me an email! I have a couple things on my list for recommendations. :)

Styling Your Middle Part

Styling the middle part can be hard. Not enough volume, too flat, "my head looks ridiculous", you know what I'm talking about! ;) #thestruggleisreal #firstworldprobz
But honestly, the look adds spice to any outfit because to me, it's very sleek! Don't you agree? Plus it's always fun to have versatility with your hair. With that being said, watch my video on how I style my middle part!

The Newest Way to Document Moments

I got my very first polaroid camera for Christmas and immediately fell in love with the old fashioned idea of documenting small moments. I've slowly but surely started accumulating a lot of pictures and love the antique/chic look that they bring to a room.

They make wonderful gifts, are perfect for kids, and come in fun colors that add spice to any outfit! I got the idea to create this wall when I found this tassel banner at Tjmaxx. I found a similar one for you here. You can find this tack board at Michaels or Hobby Lobby and just hang the pictures with blue putty.

I can't recommend the camera enough, it's such a fun way to look back on silly, sweet and spontaneous moments. Just think, you looked at lots of old polaroid pictures of relatives and such when you were younger and maybe even now. Imagine someone doing that with your photos someday. :) Happy Monday, friends!

Monthly Link Up: Random Act of Kindess

"Every act of kindness grows the spirit & strengthens the soul."

For my random act of kindness this month I decided I would bless someone with a Starbucks drink. Such a simple, inexpensive act that goes a long way.. I was moved by the whole situation and grateful that my blog challenged me to do something that truthfully I should do more often. I decided on a Starbucks drink because it's something small and sometimes essential for so many. ;) My hope was that the small gesture could change the day of a someone that needed it really impact them. It had a note with it encouraging them and wishing them an incredible day. It challenged them to extend the same type of gesture to someone else. What if we all spread this kind of kindness once a week? Would our world look different?

As I walked up to the counter to purchase my drink, my nerves were all over the place. My hope was that it would impact someone in a small way that may change their day for the better. I handed the lady some money a note that said, "Have an incredible day! Please pay it forward and pass this random act of kindness on." I told the lady to pay for someone's drink awhile after me and stick that note on it. I tried to sit at the bar to see if I could witness the scene play out but it had been 30 minutes and so I had to get on with my day. As I walked out, I thought to myself again, "I hope it blesses someone."

I'm making a commitment now to do small things with great love more often. I believe it's those things that make a world of difference in society. I truly believe this post inspired and strengthened me more than that silly little drink did, and for that, I'm forever grateful.

New Favorite Breakfast

After my wisdom teeth removal.. the smoothie life was inevitable. And when something is inevitable, you make the absolute best of it and find a million ways to make a smoothie. I finally found a recipe that I love. I know as you are reading this you are probably concerned there are tons of crazy ingredients, well the good news is, it's super simple! I am a huge fan of pineapple, but if you aren't substitute with whatever fruit you like!

Pineapple Strawberry Smoothie Recipe:

  • 1/2  cup of yogurt
  • 1 Scoop of Protein Powder (mine is vanilla)
  • 1/2 cup of milk
  • 1/2 cup of water (only had water if you like your smoothie more like a drink and not thick)
  • A handful of frozen strawberries
  • A handful of frozen pineapple
The game changer is a wonderful blender and I'm here to tell you, I recently got the Nutri Ninja Blender and love it! My smoothie is ready within 30 seconds!! Definitely worth it!

This is a super easy breakfast with fruit, protein and sustenance! I hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Posh Products Review

I have always loved experimenting and trying new products. I think it's fun for me to do but also fun for others to read about. Blogs are supposed to be informative and so what's a blog without an honest review? ;)

I've heard the name Perfectly Posh many of times before but never actually tried the products. What I love most is the products are all natural and for an affordable price. It's hard to find products without harsh products that dry the skin out. Posh is the place for you if you're looking for clean, great smelling, natural products! I am thrilled to say, all the products I tried were such a success! With that said, lets get to chatting!

  1. This body butter is INCREDIBLE. It makes my legs so so soft and it smells so so good! I am not exaggerating. The scent lingers. It's aloe, spicy cucumber, and vanilla! An amazing scent combo. I woke up the next morning with my skin still smelling like the body butter. The thing I love most is, unlike other lotions where my feet feel dry the next morning, with this body butter, my whole body felt so soft because of the ingredients. I definitely recommend this! There are tons of scents to choose from!
  2. I am a huge fan of the coconut body bar. This exfoliates your skin really well and leaves a fabulous scent. If you don't like coconut, no worries, there are tons of scent options. I've been using this bar for over a two weeks. Unlike normal soap bars that evaporate very quickly in the shower, I still have more than half this bar left and have been using it almost everyday.
  3. This. Face. Mask. Heavens to Betsy it's AH-MAZING. Talk about a mask that clears those pores and sinuses. It has eucalyptus oil in it which is powerful. It leaves your skin feeling so smooth and detoxed. Probably my favorite product from this whole set! If you want to treat yourself to one thing, it needs to be this!
  4. I've heard a lot of positive things when it comes to night time oil and I'm here to tell you it changes the face game! This oil really moisturizes my skin (especially after using the mask) and gives me a very even complexion. It doesn't "over oil" (if that's even a word) my face, if that makes sense. It gives it the perfect amount of moisture to be extremely smooth when I wake up the next morning.
  5. This hand creme smells great and adds the perfect amount of moisture to your skin! It's a portable size for your car or purse if you have any ashy skin while you're out! This product didn't blow me away like the other ones but it's still really great!
If you had to choose two products, I would tell you to get the mask and the night time face oil! You won't be disappointed with either of those products! Overall my Perfectly Posh experience was a WIN! Definitely give the products a try! If you have any specific questions about the products please comment and I'd be happy to answer!

Have you ever used Posh products? What's your favorite?? Share your answers in the comments!

How to: Create a Gallery Wall

I found my love for gallery walls on Pinterest one day in June and knew as soon as I had a "semi permanent" place to live for a few years I wanted to put one together. I discovered it at the beginning of the summer and so I began to slowly but surely look for things to incorporate. I found things at TjMaxx, Hobby Lobby, and believe it or not, I found old pretty frames that my mom had and wasn't using. Don't underestimate the power of older frames. They have potential! With that being said, here are my tips for creating your own gallery wall!

  • Pick a color scheme you love and let that be the central color, you can have different shades but try to keep things in the same end of the color wheel.
  • Find accent pieces like symbols, mirrors, letters etc.. these tie the whole wall together and really add YOUR personal touch
  • Find words and phrases that are important to you and mean something to you. All shapes and sizes are welcome!
  • Decide on pictures that you love.
  • Once you have your supplies here is how to set it up:
    • Take the biggest items and off center them. Because it's a gallery wall, not one thing is the main attraction.
    • Treat it like a puzzle piece and put things in different directions (horizontally and vertically) to add dimension.
    • Lay it out on your floor and once you have the final set up (I recommend having multiple sets of eyes and hands) take one thing at a time and begin to mount it on the wall.
    • Make sure your measurements are right. Measure the wall space and then measure the set up on the floor to make sure they are exact!
That about sums it up! It does take some work but the results are incredible! You can do them for any area of your house, they add such fun to any space. Take that creative license and run with it!!
